Y6 Science: Dissolving Solids
Year 6 have been learning about which solids are soluble and which are insoluble. For this reason, we decided to find out some things for ourselves. We took a number of various solids (chalk, sand, sugar, salt, soil, coffee powder, flour, bicarbonate of soda) and tried to dissolve them in water. The results were recorded, which is what budding scientists do, and then discussed.
