16th May
The days are getting hotter and so ice cream is very welcome. Of course, all the profits will be given to families of children who have cancer and so that is an added bonus.
Our assembly was hosted by Year 2, who put on a great performance. They had riddles about characters from traditional tales and the audience had to guess who they were referring to. Some children knew the correct answer, but others didn't. It didn't matter; it was all great fun. Our Arabic teacher had a number of certificates to give to children and then some other children were awarded certificates by their class teachers. It seems that everyone was a winner on this day. At the end of the assembly, we were told that we have made quite a lot of money for the children. It's good to know that we are helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
